Know how our crops and seeds are grown and shipped

Everything we grow and ship has an impact on people and the planet. Learn more about our environmental and social responsibility initiatives.

Why

When we grow crops for seeds or produce, we select types based on their environmental impact. Though all plants can be grown organically not all plants grow everywhere without using artificial chemical fertilizer or harmful pesticides. We learned this from extensive experiments in different parts of USA and some crops in different countries. When we deep dive into the conventional farming techniques we learned every year each state in US uses average 30 to 40 million pounds of synthetic fertilizers, additives and defoliants which wreak havoc on the soil, water, air and environment. So, the only alternative to reduce or eliminate this danger is by growing the crops organically.

Our Crop

We mostly follow Agroecology method of farming. Which is more than just organic farming practices.  support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems. Agroecology is not a specific production method, but rather a strategy that depends on and maximizes natural processes to support production systems; it is a way of thinking about agronomy, ecology, and biology holistically. Producing food in harmony with nature rather than against it.

Where We Are

Our crop land is currently based in mid-west states in USA and India

And to take our commitment even further, we’ve piloted our garlic and peanut farms working toward the highest standard—Regenerative Organic Certification, which aims to rehabilitate soil, respect animal welfare and improve the lives of farmers.
